SQL, Python, data visualization, web development, technical writing

After nearly twenty years of working in education, I am making the transition to the field of computer technology. My primary interest is the structuring of information. I aim for a simple, logical, user-friendly presentation for works that I create, with both the end-user and code maintenance in mind. One of the most helpful ideas I've learned in my time in education is that of the "prepared environment": the initial configuration and maintenance of a physical space as an ordered, meaningful place, sets students and staff up for success. By extension, visualizations of data, layouts and designs of software or websites, and the presentations of technical documents, can be constructed to evoke for end-users and developers alike an intuitive sense of purpose, order, and peace of mind.

In addition to enjoying programming and other computer endeavors, I am a musician and songwriter, illustrator, writer, and retro Nintendo enthusiast. I can usually be found devoting my time to a project related to one of these things.
